ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Sinnar is a rain-fed area with limited water supply where farmers employ traditional agricultural techniques. Since they get their income every six months, or longer if the agricultural activity differs, they find it to be an economically unviable activity. This isn’t true, and what truly needs to change is their approach to agriculture.

You will visit the Gram Panchayat, rural banks, other financial institutions and the Devnadi Valley Agricultural Producers Co. at Agrimall to understand social enterprise. MORE ABOUT RURAL VISIT
Rural visits are designed to give students a first-hand experience of how to work with limited resources, the various aspects of social enterprise, and community building and motivation. This helps them develop skills related to operations management, strategy and planning, as well as leadership. Additionally, these visits give them an insight into rural communities which are both – vendors and consumers – in the urban business context.
